Examine. Engage. Expand public discourse.

The Public Concern Foundation seeks to promote a wider public examination of current events and public affairs. Through its programs and sponsored projects, the Foundation presents informed opinion and expertise on matters of political, social and cultural interest.

The Foundation’s principal activity is the publication of The Washington Spectator, a monthly digital newsletter on public affairs with an accompanying website (washingtonspectator.org) that is updated daily,

Examples of the Foundation’s projects have included sponsorship of The Public Trust Project, which promoted the findings of independent scientists. In addition, the Foundation hosts journalism fellowships, conducts investigative reporting, sponsors and produces documentary films, publishes books, and provides fiscal sponsorship for kindred activities.
