Examine. Engage. Expand the public discourse.

The Public Concern Foundation seeks to promote a wider public examination of current events and public affairs. Through its programs and sponsored projects, the Foundation presents informed opinion and expertise on matters of political, social and cultural interest.

The Foundation hosts The Washington Spectator, a digital newsletter on public affairs updated daily at washingtonspectator.org. Examples of the Foundation’s projects have included sponsorship of The Public Trust Project, which promoted the findings of independent scientists; American Family Voices, the progressive advocacy and media relations group; and the Community First Development Corp, which promotes inclusivity and socioeconomic diversity among downtown New York neighborhoods.

In addition, the Foundation hosts journalism fellowships, conducts investigative reporting, sponsors and produces documentary films, publishes books, and provides fiscal sponsorships for kindred activities.
